When is all homework due in this class?
All homework is due every Friday. The students will be given a slip of
paper that tells which assignments are due and must be stapled to the
homework as it is turned in. The latest a homework assignment may be turned
in is on the Monday afterwards with a late penalty of 10% assessed. There
are no exceptions to this policy.

When are office hours?
Students can come in and ask for help before school, at lunch or after
school every day with few exceptions. If students tell Ms Doughty when they
are coming in, she will do her best to meet their needs.
--------------------------------------
Do you give make-up tests or allow test corrections?
Make-up tests are allowed only in extreme circumstances however, test
corrections are allowed for each student twice a semester. In order to do
test corrections, the students must come in on their own time to my
classroom and answer each question correctly using only their notes and
textbooks. With test corrections, students can only earn back HALF of the
points that they lost on their test.

Do we need graphing calculators?
While graphing calculators are definitely recommended for future math
classes, all that is needed in Algebra I and Algebra II are scientific
calculators which can be purchased for about $10 as opposed to $100 for
graphing calculators.

How much is the final exam worth?
The final exam is worth 15% of each class. All other categories and their
percentages are listed in the course syllabus.
