Enrichment Groups

Students are invited to participate based on Trimester One achievement and on their academic history. Other students may be included at parent request, if it is determined that the additional work will not impact their grade level work. If it is determined that participation will be detrimental to the student in any way, he or she will not participate.

Math Enrichment

Students are place in Math Enrichment based on Advanced scores on Benchmarks and Star Testing. Students have also demonstrated a need for additional challenge by the quality and speed they complete daily assignments

All students, including those in the Enrichment Group, will participate in our Third Grade Math Lesson and practice. Additionally, students in the Enrichment Group will be responsible for completing lessons from Math 54, a math book leveled at upper third, lower fourth grade.

ELA Enrichment

Students are placed in ELA Enrichment based on Advanced scores on the Benchmark and Star Testing. Students have also demonstrated a need for additional challenge by the quality and speed they complete daily assignments.

In addition to all regular assignments, students in the Enrichment Group will participate and complete assignments at a higher level.

Students will be required to take and pass a minimum of 8 AR books and tests at a level Brown or higher. They must achieve at least 80% on the AR Quizzes.

Additionally, students will be responsible for additional spelling and vocabulary words each week. There will also be written challenges in response to our weekly stories.

Students will complete reading practice work at a 4th grade level with at least 80% accuracy.
