Third Grade Binder is
a three ring binder that your child will keep and maintan. The purpose of the
book is to encourage study skills, organizational skills, and responsibility. Please
do not remove anything without putting it back.
I
appreciate your support in helping your child to stay organized.
Inside the Third Grade Binder
Home/School
Communication This
pocket is found on the inside front cover pocket and is to be used to send
information between home and school that needs immediate attention, such as
doctor’s appointments and urgent concerns, etc. I will also use this pocket to
send you notes that require immediate attention. Most of these will need to be
signed and returned. Please check this section daily.
A
weekly behavior report will be placed in this section on Friday.

Pouch Please
keep extra pencils and erasers in this zippered pouch
Week at a Glance We
will replace this each week. It
will contain news as well as the current vocabulary words and spelling words.
Please
do not remove this.
Homework
This
pocket will contain the homework log and any homework that is assigned during
that day. Completed homework should be returned to school in the same pocket.
Please check this section daily.
Signed Tests This
pocket contains graded tests and quizzes for your review and signature.
Please
check this section every Friday. After
review and signature, please put the test or quiz back in the section and I
will remove it on Monday.
Keep at Home This pocket will hold
papers that are going home and to be kept at home, such as review sheets,
graded papers, or daily work that has been reviewed but not graded. Please
remove these and review them at home.
Miscellaneous
Items In
the plastic sleeves you will find items that you may want to refer to from
time to time. Please leave these papers in the page protectors throughout the
school year.
