Why do our children need to learn their math facts?

Knowing those facts is a standard set by the state for all 3rd graders, but it
is also very important to their sucess with math in the future. When children
are using fingers to find an answer, it makes computation slow and inaccurate.
Higher levels of math become very difficult.

What happens when they pass their timed tests?

The last week of school we have an ice cream party. Children are earning ice
cream and toppings with each timed test they pass.
