I am very happy to be on the staff here at Spring View; it really feels like
it is home. I teach all American History all day long, so that can be fun
with all the stories involved. I also have a class on Career Awareness.
My favorite thing to do is to go camping on the beach or fishing on a
lake. I play ice hockey in my spare time at least once a week. I like
to go mountain biking or hiking whenever I can, too. You get to see many
out of the ordinary animals and plants when you are out in the middle of
nowhere. I have seen crazy things like bobcats, deer, vultures, and snakes
(oh, my!). You have to watch out for poison oak (not fun).
I got my BA and teaching credential from Cal State Fullerton, and I also
continued my education by earning a master's degree in Educational
Technology.
I am a product of the Ocean View School District. I started out at
Westmont then moved to Circle View for the GATE program. I followed on to
Mesa View for middle school, and afterwards to Marina for Freshman/Sophomore
years. I graduated from Huntington High to go onto Orange Coast College.
I really think education is important, and that everyone should stay in
school for as long as possible, especially the generation I am teaching now.
The employment market is getting so demanding that degrees are more crucial.
Hopefully, I can make school more fun and give my students skills that can
make the rest of your school career as smooth and easy as possible.
