Meet Mrs. Fristensky

I am a California credentialed teacher (California State University at
Fullerton) with a research emphasis on the brain and Gardner's Multiple
Intelligences.

My discipline plan is built on Glasser's research, which empahsizes free
choice of behavior, speech, and emotion. I also incorporate Nodding's Ethic
of Care, which is embodied in the community or family we build inside the
classroom.

I have taught the kindergarten class here at SCA for three years. I am
excited to start my fourth year with your wonderful son!

I am the adoring wife of an amazing engineer and the proud mommy of three
wonderful children. If I ever get free time I love a good disco Saturday
night or a trip to Disneyland. I love to play sports with my family, as well
as card and board games. Let's Go Ducks!

My Mission and Vision Statement

My Mission
I partner with parents and other professionals to assess the needs,
interests, and background knowledge of each student, and then determine the
most effective teaching tools, strategies, and behavior management plans that
will faciliate his successful accomplishment of required standards.

My Vision
I nurture students' multiple intelligences and facilitate as high a level of
understanding as possible by differentiating lessons, assignments, and
projects. I promote internalized self-discipline by providing choices with
understood, natural and logical consequences. I rely on positive
reinforcement and community support/gratitude to build motivation for making
valuable choices. I model and teach choice making, conflict resolution,
mistake management, and other critical life skills that will help students
connect in positive relationships with God, family, and friends.
