Third Grade Schoolwide Learning Expectations

A St. Columban Third Grade Student Is:
 
A.     A Faith-Filled Catholic
  •         Demonstrates Christ-like behavior
  •         Learns to make moral decisions based on faith
  •         Demonstrates basic knowledge of the Catholic faith
  •         Shows respect for others' values and differences
  •         Responds compassionately to the needs of others
B.     A Life-Ling Learner
  •         Recognizes the importance of education
  •         Displays a solid foundation in grade level basic skills
  •         Applies problem solving and critical thinking skills
  •         Utilizes educational resources, including technology
  •         Shows an appreciation of the arts and humanities
  •         Acknowledges the importance of a healthy life-style
C.     A Responsible Citizen
  •         Demonstrates respect for all of God's creation
  •         Understands and accepts responsibility for choices made
  •         Exhibits an awareness of global issues
  •         Participates in community events and projects
D.    An Effective Communicator
  •        Demonstrates effective oral and written communication
  •        Participates in classroom learning experiences
  •        Works cooperatively with others
