Keep reading with your child during the summer and ask the questions that
graced our Read Aloud Log pages.
Give your child lots of practice with first readers.
Buy them workbooks to strengthen and retain the skills they have learned.
Encourage them to write sentences and illustrate them.
Review high frequency words periodically. Start on the 100 Dolch sight words
listed on my website.
Take your child lots of places and give them lots of experiences. Experiences
give them something to link learning onto.
