The weekly assignments are as follows for all full M-F weeks:
Monday - 3x each
Tuesday - ABC Order
Wednesday - Sentences #1-10
Thursday - finish sentences & study
Please help your child study for his/her test and check their spelling notebook nightly for neatness and correct spelling and grammar. Spelling is the one curriculum area that students may go ahead and complete homework early. I know life gets busy, so if they'd like to write all of their sentences on Mondays, that is fine, but the day's assignment must also be done. All work must be done in the spelling notebook. The week's words will also be posted here on Mondays.
Spelling Sentences Rules
*Be creative, do not repeat the same people or places.
*Skip lines between sentences.
*Do not number ahead. You may need more than one line for a sentence!
*Number your sentences to the LEFT of the red margin line.
*Begin your sentences AT the red margin line.
*Be NEAT, NEAT, NEAT!!! (or you will rewrite them)
*Have 7 or more words per sentence.
*Use punctuation. (!, ., ?)
*Use capital letters only when necessary.
*Underline list words.
*Check over your sentences.
