Book Reports

Throughout the course of the school year, the third graders will complete five book reports, about two book reports a trimester. Not all reports will be written. Some will be creative art projects based on parts of their book, some simple written reports in paragraph form, and some will be combinations of written reports and a creative art project. All books must be approved by Mrs Dare. Most book reports will be presented in class with a short 2-3 minute summary and/or explanation of the project that was completed by the student.

Each book report should include the title of the book and the author’s name. Neatness and following directions count on all book reports. If the directions are unclear to you, please let me know as soon as the assignment is given and not the week before it is due. These projects will be given in addition to regular homework assignments and should be completed by the due date. If it is turned in after the due date, the student’s grade will be affected.
