Mrs. McClenathen is going into her Tenth year teaching at St. Raphael School. A graduate of UCSB, she
earned her credential from Antioch University in Santa Barbara. Mrs. McClenathen enjoys outdoor
activities such as running, bike riding, camping and water skiing/wake boarding. She often travels with
her husband and two sons during the summer. This past summer Mrs. McClenathen traveled with her
husband to Rome, Assisi and Naples Italy, as well as many areas in Greece. Highlights include the
Bascilica of St. Francis of Assisi and St. Peter's Bascilica in Rome. They also enjoyed Pompeii in Naples,
Italy and a fun donkey ride in Santorini, Greece. She looks forward to sharing her adventures with her
students and teaching them the geography of the regions. Mrs. McClenathen feels very blessed to be
teaching in a warm and supportive environment such as St. Raphael's.
St. Raphael School is dedicated to the spiritual formation of each student.
Our school community strives to nurture the growth of the whole child by
instilling Catholic Christian values that foster each student's unique
spiritual, moral, intellectual, psychological, social, and physical growth.
We achieve this goal through our school wide learning expectations and the
continued support of our clergy, principal, teachers, staff, school
families, and parish community. In addition, I hope to create a learning
environment to help each and every student feel successful. Each student is
blessed with many gifts and I encourage them to share their gifts and be the
best that they can be.
