First graders enjoy celebrating their birthdays with their classmates. We sing, have a birthday cheer, a birthday box with little gifts, and a birthday homework pass. If you would like to send a recess snack for your child to distribute to the class, please follow these guidelines:

• Keep the treat simple and something that can be easily passed out by your child.
• All the same, please!!!
• Cookies, fruit, rice krispie treats, granola bars, or individually wrapped snacks are some examples. Please try to keep it as healthy as possible.
• No cupcakes, cupcake cakes, sheet cakes, or drinks please.

Please send a note to school, prior to your child's birthday, to let us know that you will be sending a treat.
