Hello Parents!!!
I hope you enjoyed your weekend and got to cheer on your favorite team in the Superbowl this weekend.
I have been asked to remind you about a few things in regards to the Gala.
Gala
They
really need to know if you are coming or not. Please send in your RSVP
immediately. If you have lost it, please let me or Mrs. McSherry know.
They need a final plate count for dinner by Wednesday.
The
catalog is almost ready to print. They are waiting for a few more
packages to be finalized! One of them sounds especially yummy - Dessert
for a Year!! That is my kind of package!!
Also,
they asked me to remind you about selling those raffle
tickets!! Students get free dress on Valentine's Day and if EVERYONE in
the class participates we get to go to an ice cream party. Thanks to
all of you that have made this happen!
Lastly,
my Teacher Feature will be a small group of students coming with me to
Ceramic Cafe and then having lunch at Sammy's upstairs, ending with some
sloppy sundaes!! Definitely a fun activity.

Homework for the Week - Overview
Reading: Read 20-30 minutes each night and LOG. Work on book report due early 2/17 and regular date 2/21.
Spelling: Lesson 7 activities due on Thursday. Test on Friday
Vocabulary: Unit 7 Book work due on Thursday. Test on
Friday.
Math: Homework each night with their Unit Test on Thursday.
Valentine's box due by Tuesday, February 14th.
I
still have several students that are saying they forgot work at
home...please know their grades will be impacted by this for each day
late their assignments are. It is imperative that they realize work is
due each and every day.
Field Trip
We
will be going on field trip on Wednesday, February 29th. We have to be there at 11:30, so
most likely we will leave around 10:15, get there and eat lunch. Then we
will be ready to make some candles and learn how to rope and brand some
leather as long as the weather permits. Cost for students will be 13
dollars I believe. I will be
needing drivers. I know one parent has already expressed interest.
Thank
you. I wanted to make sure to thank all of you for a wonderful
Teacher's Appreciation day. I loved my coffee, chocolate, and the
flowers were beautiful! The notes your children wrote were awesome. I
hope that you received the thank you notes they wrote to you as well. If
not, ask them where it is!!!
