Home of Summit Shark PRIDE!

Thursday, April 17, 2014

First off this morning, Students, please remember that when you are waiting in neighborhoods or walking home, that you are expected to be positive role models. This would include being respectful of the property of the homeowners in our community. Stay out of their yards and landscaping. Don't throw rocks or litter. Show them how great middle school kids can really be! Thank you!!

Message from the Principal

Principal Photo
It's the final six weeks of the school year! Progress reports were sent home with students on Friday, April 4th. Even though we're nearing the end of the school year, it's important to help our students stay focused and maintain their high levels of achievement. It's a great idea for parents to check ESPRI to make sure their student is staying up to date on their assignments and studying for assessments. The last day for the Homework Lab this school year will be Thursday, April 19th. We look forward to sharing all the great accomplishments your child has worked toward this year at the Summit Showcase on Wednesday, April 30th. Teachers and administrators are always here to support you and answer any questions that you may have!
Proud to be a Shark and proud to be your principal!
Mrs. Arita

Safe Routes to School Meeting

The next community meeting for our Safe Routes to School program will be Tuesday, April 15th at 6:00 PM. The meeting for Etiwanda Colony and Summit Intermediate community members will be held in the Etiwanda Colony cafeteria. This is a great opportunity for parents and members of the community to get involved! See you there!

TDAP Immunization

Deadline for CURRENT SIXTH GRADERS: MAY 01, 2014

It' the Rule: No Shot = No School!

All students entering 7th and 8th grade next year must provide documentation of current Tdap immunization before they may enter school in the fall. Over 3 million students statewide will need this documentation, so avoid the last minute August rush and bring your verification form to the school office before the end of the school year.

Unfortunately, students who do not have documentation of Tdap established at the school site cannot be given homeroom assignments or class schedules in August.
