Safe School Ambassador permission slips are due to Ms. Wilson in R-12 by Friday, September 19th at 4pm-no late permission slips will be accepted.

Are you artistic or enjoy displaying your special talents? Then PTSA has the perfect opportunity for you! It’s time for our annual PTSA reflections contest. The theme this year is “The world would be a better place if…” Unleash your talent and create an original piece of work in any of these categories…Dance/Choreography, Literature, Film Production, Photography, Visual Arts, and Musical Composition! Deadline for entries is October 6th. Flyers were sent home – we do have more in the office if you need another one!

Today's after school events include Football, Homework Lab, and Yearbook.

Activities for tomorrow include:
-Fall Picture Make-Up day
-PTSA meeting at 1:00, some student members of the PTSA will be released from class to participate in the Board Meeting!
-Homework Lab
-Shark Bites
-Leadership
-Choir
-Volleyball

Friday’s spirit day is to dress in your Fall Colors to earn spirit points for your class.

Please keep in mind that the campus is not open until 7:00 AM each day. Students should not be arriving prior to this time.

For your planning purposes, a reminder that Monday, September 22nd is a minimum day with dismissal at 12:45 PM. We’ll also be having our district wide disaster drill on the 22nd.

Community Flyers for Etiwanda School District

The Governing Board desires to promote positive relationships between schools and the community in order to enhance community support and involvement in district schools.

The Etiwanda School District realizes the importance of sharing information regarding the many opportunities for activities throughout the community. In an effort to share this information, community flyers will now be posted on the ESD website (see School District Community Flyer link above). Please note these events are not sponsored by the Etiwanda School District. This information is provided as a community service.

Statistics show that healthy children attend school on a more consistent basis. Summit Intermediate is participating in a Medi-Cal program that links students and families with health care options. Your child may be eligible for FREE or LOW COST health care which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage. Please contact the school office if you need assistance connecting to ESPRI, our 24/7 access to student assignments and grades.
 

Informational Notice

Once or twice a year, missionaries from local church groups visit the neighborhood surrounding Summit Intermediate School and attempt to hand out religious materials. The laws prohibit them from distributing materials on school property, but if they are on public sidewalks they may distribute materials to the public. We want to remind students that they do not have to accept the materials being offered and that we encourage them to check with their parents before accepting any materials outside of school.
