Attention Parents of Current Sixth Grade Students
A California State law requires that all students entering the seventh grade must provide documentation of having received the Tdap vaccine booster. This immunization booster is being required to protect students from pertussis, a disease sometimes called whooping cough. Before a student can enter the seventh grade they must have received a Tdap immunization, or an immunization containing pertussis, on or after the seventh birthday. If your sixth grade student has not received a Tdap booster, please schedule an appointment now. After receiving the Tdap booster, official documentation of the vaccine must be provided to the school. Call the school health office for additional information. (909) 899-1704
