I have been teaching for 14 years, eight of them 6th-8th Grade Science. I
previously taught at Garfield Charter School in Redwood City and then Parkside
Intermediate in San Bruno. I spent 25 years cooking in and managing restaurants
and kitchens before I became a teacher. I love working with kids and I love
teaching science. I'm carrying on the family tradition. My mom's parents were
both science teachers and my grandfather was the head of the science dept. at
College of Marin. My mom's grandfather was a teacher and so was my mom. I am
the fourth generation of teachers in my family.
I, too, like Mrs. Messner, believe Bill Nye is a great science educator.
Science Rules!!
I believe every student in my classes should go to college. I work hard to
give them the tools to be successful in school so that they will enjoy it and
continue their education. Every student should be given the time, support, and
resources they need so that they can develop their minds, indulge their
curiosity, and learn the skills that will allow them to become successful
members of society.
These students, your children, are our future and we should invest in the
quality of the future.
