How to find a book within the student's ZPD: It is very important for students to read books within their ZPD (Zone of Proximal Development). Students and parents can find the level of a book by doing the following: 1.) www.arbookfind.com 2.) Click on "Student" or "Parent" 3.) In "Quick Search" type the title of the book. If the book has an Accelerated Reader (AR) quiz it will come up. 4.) Double check the author if there are multiple books with the same title. 5.) Look at the "BL" which is the book level. If the BL is within your child's ZPD then the book is appropriate for nightly reading.
