Tut field trip by December 1.
We will be going to the Book Fair on Wednesday. If you would like to make
any purchases, this would be a good day to send money.
We will be back to work again this week as usual. The sixth grade will be
wrapping up their study of Egypt and then continue onto Kush. We will begin
India immediately after the Winter holiday.
Both groups will be working on their published book projects in class and
possibly at home depending on how much they accomplish in class. We will not
begin a new class novel before the holidays. This means that outside reading
is more important than ever!!
Students need to be reading independently outside of class. The Accelerated
Reader program is independent and should be considered their responsiblity.
Also, book reports are considered homework assignments. Some students are
trying to accomplish this during class time and the finished product is not
as well-constructed as it should be.
