Homework will be assigned Monday through Thursday in addition to reading.
The length of assignment depends on the area of study. You can expect that
your child will finish in about 30 minutes, but please factor in his or her
working pace. Also, a minimum of 20 minutes of silent or shared
(parent/child) reading is required 5 nights a week, which is recorded on the
Weekly Reading Minutes Bookmark. It is your child’s responsibility to write
down the assignments into the assignment notebook and show them to you so you
can sign off every night that they have completed their homework, packed
their binder in their backpack, and are ready to turn it in the following
morning.
