Notes for the week:
•	This week we will begin our formal spelling program.  Please read the 
blue information letter sent home today.   
•	Please keep the SPELLING ACTIVITIES sheet in a safe place at home.  
You will need it, to refer to, for weekly spelling homework practice.
•	There is no school on Wednesday, November 11, 2009  (Veterans Day)
•	Cookies for Computers- Cookie Dough sales have begun! Money & forms 
due Nov. 18th. 
•	Toys for Tots Drive has started and will continue until December 
15th.  New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off in the collection boxes located 
in the main office.
•	Family Portrait Night is Monday, November 16th from 5:00 to 9:00 in 
the MPR.
•	The first grade team is in need of reams of white Xerox copy paper.  
Any donations would be greatly  appreciated!  
Monday
•	Please add the five High Frequency words to your word ring (see 
above).  
•	Next choose one activity from the SPELLING ACTIVITY sheet.  
***Depending on what activity your child picks, he/she may or may not have 
something to turn in.
•	Read 20 minutes and mark it on your November reading calendar.
Tuesday
•	Please complete Home Links 3.4  (More Odd and Even Numbers) and 3.5  
(Number Lines and Counting Patterns).
•	Read 20 minutes and mark it on your November reading calendar.
Wednesday
            No school today due to Veterans Day.
Thursday
•	Choose two new activities from the November Activity Calendar and 
initial next to the activity that you choose.  
•	Please choose an activity from the Spelling Activities Sheet to 
practice your spelling words.
***Depending on what activity your child picks, he/she may or may not have 
something to turn in.
•	Tomorrow we will have our first official spelling test.  Please 
review tonight!
•	Read 20 minutes and record it on your November reading calendar.
