Tips To Be Successful Learning ASL

BE PATIENT ! It's normal for you to not understand everything. Learning a language is a process. Be patient, relax, & have fun! You WILL catch on.

COMMUNICATE ! Always communicate with Mrs. Dawson. She is always willing to help & support you.

PRACTICE ! Learning a language builds on previous content, always study & practice.

BE RESPONSIBLE ! Use & follow the course syllabus as it includes helpful information about the class requirements, expectations, make-up policies, etc. Learning a language successfully involves a variety of activities, assessments & interactive use of the langauge. Therefore if absent, it's very important you follow the absence policy for each type of assignment, quiz, etc you missed (view policiies in syllabus).

TEACHERWEB ! Log on Mrs. Dawson's "teacherweb" site daily to view daily agenda, homework, etc.

ZANGLE ! Log on zangle often to view all grade information.

ASL CLUB ! Join the American Sign Language Club! Just show up any time! It's every Friday @ lunch in G7! All are welcome! Bring your lunch & your friends! Meet new people! Play games! Make crafts!
