Whether you are joining me for an inspiring examination of our
literary heritage or are interested in the inner workings of the human
Psyche, we have a lot of exciting things in store for you.
English 1 - In this course, we will be focusing on improving our
use of the English language through our exploration of literature and our
focused attention on the writing process. In addition to literary analysis,
we will also work on vocabulary development, critical thinking and public
speaking skills. We will read works by John Steinbeck, Ernest Hemmingway,
Edgar Alan Poe, Ray Bradbury, William Shakespeare and others.
CAHSEE Review - Provides a thorough review of reading strategies,
grammar rules, literary terms, and writing strategies to help students
better prepare for the State Exit Exam
Psychology - A general survey course that provides an introduction
to the field. This overview will cover the history of psychology, research
methods, physiological psychology, behavior, sensation and perception,
consciousness, learning and cognition, development, personality, and more
