Textbooks

STUDENT NAMES AND BOOKCOVERS:
“All textbooks are to be covered at all times and should include the
student’s name on the cover and in the book on the space provided. Any
textbook uncovered will have CSF recover it for a $1.00 charge. Only paper
covers, no adhesives, may cover textbooks.” (stretchy material covers are
not allowed, we recommend brown paper bags)

BOOK CARE:
“Books are to be handled with care and kept in good condition, free from
marks.” (this includes the outside cover and all inside pages)

LOST BOOKS:
“Lost books must be reported to the office/library. Replacement cost must
be paid before the office/library can issue a new book. If a textbook is
found, a refund will not be given.”
(Note: Textbooks are expensive to replace – anywhere from $60-$100)

DAMAGE/REPLACEMENT COSTS:
“The student, prior to the issuance of report cards, must pay any damage
and/or replacement costs.” (charges will be issued for used books returned
unusable due to severe damage; newer books will be charged for excessive
wear)

CHANGING CLASSES/WITHDRAWING FROM A CLASS OR THE SCHOOL:
“A student transferring from one class to another or withdrawing from the
school must return his/her textbooks to the office.”
(from TCHS Student Handbook, 2004-2005)

END OF YEAR TEXTBOOK RETURN:
Students must turn in their textbooks BEFORE taking their finals. No book -
no final!
