Wyland Watershed Assembly: Today we attended an assembly conducted by the
Wyland Foundation. Ask your child about what they learned.
Class Play: We have scheduled our class play for Tuesday June 4th at 6pm.
End of Year Events: On June 7th we will be hiking into Wildwood Canyon with
our study buddies and then having lunch at the park. Students will need a
sack lunch on this day. On June 11th we will be having the 3rd grade field
day here on campus. If you would like to help at either of these events
please let me know. More information and exact times for both events will be
coming home shortly.
Curriculum:
Language Arts: Unique Animals of the Southwest –Vocab- related, female,
odor, identical, venom, sight, rebuild, interrupted
Reading Strategy- Cause and Effect
Grammar: Pronoun- verb contractions and possessive pronouns.
Writing: Animal reports/ Author’s Faire books
Science: Chapter 2 -“When Environments Change”. There will be a science test
on Chapter 2 on Friday. A study guide will come home Wednesday.
Math- Chapter 9 test is on Wednesday. A study guide is coming home today.
