Homework
Monday: Complete - Home address page. Write 5 words that describe your house
on the back. We will be using these words on Tuesday.
Tuesday: Complete a spelling activity. Home Link 10.2
Wednesday: Read “Is This a Home for a Hermit Crab”
Vocab words: wriggled, budge, clunked, driftwood
Choose 3 vocab words and write a good first grade sentence.
Thursday: Study spelling words. See you at Open House!
Friday: Read for your Log

Merit Points: All merit points must be spent this year. Students may turn
merit points in on Fridays for prizes in the cabinet. The treat days will be:
Popcorn (10 pts) May 30th and sno-cones (10 pts) June1, movie at lunch TBD.
Jog-a-thon: Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of our Jog-a-
thon. Come join us on Friday at 1:00 to see Mr. Hedin have pies thrown at
him. All students should wear their jog-a-thon t-shirts on Friday.
Santa Barbara Zoo: Please fill out and return the Santa Barbara Zoo field
trip permission slip. We are also asking for a $15 contribution (cash only)
to cover the zoo entry and the bus. No zoo passes will be accepted. Please
send in the contribution in an envelope marked with your child’s name. If you
are interested in volunteering for this field trip (no siblings allowed),
please contact me. You will need a current TB test.
Field Day: Our field day is June 6th. We will need parents to run events from
8:30 -11:15. Please let me know if you are available.
Open House: Please plan on joining us at our annual Open House on Thursday.
The schedule is as follows: 5:30 -6:00- Art and Author’s Fair in MPR
6:00-6:30 PTA meeting – MPR
6:30 -7:30 – Classrooms open
7:30 -8:00 - Art and Author’s Fair in MPR
