Curriculum:
Language Arts – Spring themes, summer time activities. - We will be
introducing the diagraphs in language arts.
Every Day Math – place value, money, reinforce addition and subtraction
skills, number sentences, sorting and pattern- time- hours and minutes
Social Studies –Science- Our chicks should be hatching today.
Homework: Remember your metal hanger for stitchery !!!!!!!!
Wednesday: Read the new books sent home and add them to your collection. Keep
your book bags at home to read over the summer.
Thursday: calendar activities and play practice
Friday: calendar activity and play practice-
Monday: Consonant blend activity
Tuesday: Math Home Link pgs. 65
Share: Share this week blends – ch , sh , th, or tr, cr, gl, st, etc.
Play date- Friday, June 1st at 8:15. Play will start at 8:25 once we get
dressed in our costumes. Have costumes here by Thursday, May 24th for dress
rehearsals. Two plays and song last about 30 minutes.
* Field Trip- Form is included. Please send in $12.00 cash and provide your
child with a sack lunch. They will also need to wear sunscreen, shoes and
clothes they can go out into the fields in.
Important Dates-
* 5/22/12- Field trip to Underwood Farms for vegetable picking – 9:10 to
11:40.
* 5/24/12- Open House- 6:00 to 7:30- Hope to see you here!
*5/25/12- Party time. Mr. Hedin gets pies thrown at him. 1 to 2pm on the
black top. Kindergartners will be up front. If you want to pick up your
child, please come find them. Otherwise we will line them up as usual when
the fun is done.
* 5/29/12- Wildwood canyon hike with study buddies.
* June 7th – 8:15am Kindergarten celebration in the MPR. One hour
celebration and performance. Cookies on the K yard after the celebration.
No lunch needed. We’ll be fixing hotdogs for everyone.
