I have been teaching since 1989. I first started substituting, and then
a few years later I was hired by Linda Spellman when Class Size Reduction was
passed. I taught for two years in third grade, then I taught kindergarten for
four years. Most recently I taught second grade for three years before moving
to first grade. I taught first grade for four years. This is my second year
back in kindergarten.
I have six children who are grown: four boys and two girls. I have 8
grandchildren: 6 boys and 2 girls.
I enjoy making quilts, watching movies, teaching and reading. I am a BYU
football fan as well as an alumna of that school.
My greatest joy is to see children learning, growing and enjoying the
experience. My most favorite times are when my former students come back to
see me and let me know how they are doing.
I don't drink alcoholic beverages, coffee, or tea but I enjoy peanut M &
M's sometimes. I am trying to eat lots of fruits, vegetables and protein!
My goal for the class is that every student will meet or exceed the
benchmarks for the end of the year. I love to see the students read, write
and be successful in math.
