Homework

Weekly Homework

Homework will go home on Mondays and will need to be returned on Fridays.  
Inside the Homework folder you will find a Homework Cover Page.  This will 
help you keep track of the assignments completed as well as the goals your 
child needs to work on that week.  Please sign this page and staple 
to the front of all completed work, making a packet.  Please have your child 
put thier name on every piece of paper.  Please return the completed and 
signed packet  in the Homework Folder every Friday.  



Must Do:
                                 Language

Read for at least 10 minutes nightly, complete Homework cover page


2 spelling activities of your choice!  List of activities can be printed from 
this site under Homework pages.  They can also do any activities on 
SpellingCity.com. Kids will be tested every Friday.  Please 
record your activities in the Language section on the cover page.

Practice Sight Word Soldiers goal (Goal for your child is on their Homework 
Cover page)  Site words can be printed from my website or the 2nd grade 
website.  Kids will be tested every week. Day will be determined when I get 
volunteers going!
                    
Book Report- 2 must be completed each month.  Recording forms and ideas are 
listed on the Homework page of this site.
                
                                  Math

Math pages will be assigned weekly and will be written on the HW Cover page.  
You will keep the book at home and only tear out and return the pages 
assigned for that week. Do both sides.

Practice Math Goal (individual goals can be found on your child's Homework 
Cover page, just print from our website and practice) You will probably want 
to make them into flash cards.  Kids will be tested every week.


May Do: (These activities are optional, but great challenges to those that 
complete their homework quickly and without problems)
	
A Journal Entry  (lined paper may be downloaded from the website, click on 
Homework Pages). Write a story about a fun  experience, a funny 
story, vacation, a family get-together, your pets, sports, etc.)  Use lots of 
adjectives(describing words) and details to make your paper interesting to 
read.  Focus: adjectives.
