WELCOME TO FIFTH GRADE!
Dear Parent(s),
THE STATE REPORTS HAVE STARTED!!! The section called State Reports is
now open on my webpage. All of the due dates are printed for your
convenience. As I return the corrected rough drafts of the state report, you
should put them in a safe place. When it is time to rewrite the final copy
of the state report, all of the rough drafts will be in one place! I do not
need to see the final revisions until the whole report is submitted on May
fourth.
PLEASE REMEMBER!! Check your child's homework folder every evening.
Our Valentine's Day party is this Tuesday. If your child would like to
exchange valentines, he/she must bring one for everyone in the class. The
students in our class include: Bailey, Dylan, Sarah, Hannah, Liam, Logan,
Steven, James, Vivian, Keron, Kylie, and Madalynn.
Our field trip to the International Printing Museum in Torrance is this
Thursday, February 16, from 8:30 A.M. - 12:30 P.M. Scheduled chaperones
include: Brian A., Heather F., Erin T., Friederike F., and Mary L. I hope
that you received my email about the change of plans: Brian, Friederike, and
Mary have volunteered to drive so that we do not have to take the bus (a $200
fee). I will be returning $5.00 to everyone who paid the previously stated
$20.00 fee. The new fee is $15.00 per student and $10.00 per adult. If
anyone else would like to accompany us, please let me know. The permission
form is due this Tuesday.
