y over the change in x. If you can, make the x,y grid and record the two ordered pairs, subtract to find the slope and check it with your count. This should match your slope numbers.

Please encourage your student to practice problems they may struggle with by using the tutorial, extra problems in back of the book. Decimal operations, fractions, simplifying, comparing, solving for 1 step equations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division. Also, all integer ( negatives) operation of add, subtract, divide, multiply. They need to know order of operations, converting fractions, decimals, percents.

ADVISORY CLASS: Please bring in canned food items for our annual Food Drive . Our class goal is to go over 200 cans and will last until November 17th. The top 2 classes the bring in the most cans cumulatively will be awarded a mystery prize/party of something fun.
Let's see what we can do to help those in need to have a dinner for Thanksgiving and/or the Holidays.
Acceptable items: Canned cranberries, green beans, fruit, veggies, chili, applesauce, pickles, baked beans, soups, olives, tomatoes, gravy, corn, large fruit juice, cornbread mix, stuffing, flour, sugar, rice, scalloped potatoes, peas, yams, ham( 5lb.) dried pasta, aluminum roasting pan, sparkling cider, jello, dinner napkins, holiday cookies. All items must be non-perishable.
