How is discipline handled in the classroom?
I believe in a system of positive reinforcement as well as consequences. Students are encouraged to be respectful and supportive of each other and their teachers. Ourdiscipline program encourages students to monitor their own behavior. Each student begins eachday as a brand new day and has the opportunity to have a great day from the moment they walk into the classroom. The class will incorporate both classroom rules and school rules andconsequences. Students who choose not to follow our classroom and school rules will participate in the following logical consequences depending on the severity and occurrence of the behavior: Verbal warning Re-focus (in classroom) Call/ email home Focus Center Referral to the AP Office Back to Top
