before your presentation to try and slap something together. If you do...it 
shows and your grade will suffer.

answers on the Handouts/Study Guides Link) The Cornell Notes for Chapter 
Three will be collected prior to the test. The test will cover the lead up to 
and the actual events of the Revolutionary War which covers the last section 
of Chapter Two and all of Chapter Three.

you have a part in the debate, read it over carefully and be sure to ask me 
if you need help. (I recommend coming by with your group, together, at lunch 
to practice together before the debate). If you do not have a part be 
prepared to take notes during the debate. You are responsible for finding one 
good point and one bad point from each presentation. The actual re-enactment 
of the debate will take place on

8/26 Pop Quiz on Chapter One (given in class worth 7 points)
8/26 Standards Assessment for Chapter One (worth 30 points plus a possible
five point bonus. This was a take home test. You will get a similar take home
test for every chapter.
8/24 Hypothetical History worksheet comparing our life today with life if
Columbus had landed in Virginia instead of the Caribbean as he had planned
(worth a possible 25 points) 
8/20 Questionnaire, side one for you and side two for your parents (worth 10
points if completed)
8/19 Syllabus  An explanation of what you can expect in my class which need a
parent signature to receive an easy 10 points. 
There has also been two extra credit opportunities, one in the August
Newsletter and one in the Back to School Night Newsletter. 

In addition to these graded assignments, you should have read the following
sections of your textbook, Chapter One Sections 2,3 and 4 as well as Chapter
Two sections 1 and 2.
