Information about Saratoga High School Field Hockey for 2009
Try-outs are on the following dates/times:
Friday, August 14th, 7am-10am, lower field
Monday, August 17th, 7am-10am, lower field
Tuesday, August 18th, 7am-10am, lower field
Wednesday, August 19th, 7am-10am, lower field
Thursday, August 20th, 7am-10am, lower field
Friday, August 21st, 7am-10am, lower field
All forms MUST be turned into the office before August 14th in order to try-
out. Forms can be downloaded at http://www.saratogahigh.org/athletics.php
Bring running shoes, cleats, shinguards, mouthguard, and stick to all try-
outs. Sticks will not be provided.
Make sure to run 4-5 times per week over the summer so that you will be in
shape for the season. All Varsity players must run 1.5 miles in 12 minutes,
run a winder in 3 minutes 30 seconds, and do 100 yardstick pulls in 60
seconds. All JV players must finish 1.5 miles without walking, run a winder
in 4 minutes 30 seconds, and do 50 yardstick pulls in 60 seconds.
We will be having recreational practices on Mondays and Thursdays from 1-
3pm. When you are in town, you are invited to come play pick-up with the
team.
We will be taking about 20 girls on Varsity and 20 girls on JV.
