6th Grade Art

Art Announcement!
Dear 6th Grade,
Welcome back from your  summer.  We are excited to have you back at SC.  We
will be starting our art period soon and I want to remind you to bring your
art supplies so you will be prepared when we see each other.  I look forward
to seeing you in the 6th Grade!

What to bring:  * 
An oversized, old t-shirt to protect your uniform
Watercolors and paintbrush (from supply list)
1/2 inch 3-ring binder (from supply list)
Divider tabs (from supply list)
Clear plastic sheets (from supply list)
When: Wed. for Rm 16, Fri. for Rm 22
Where:Your homeroom
Time: Last period of the day  
Other: Please put your full name on paints and shirt with a permanent marker.
 *You must have your shirt and paints to participate each week.

Thank you for preparing your child for art by gathering the needed supplies. 
During each of the school months, I will introduce the class to a masterpiece
created by a world-famous artist.  These works will hopefully motivate the
students to take a close look at art, get excited enough to question what they
see, and to create their own version in the style of the artist being studied.
 My goal is to increase the students’ understanding and appreciation of art.
