· Tuesday is Valentine’s Day. It is a red, pink or Valentine themed free dress day. Please
remember to wear tennis shoes for the Pavilion.
· Those students who ordered Stickergrams will have them delivered to the classroom to
pass out. Students who chose to make their own valentines should bring them to
school on Tuesday. We will have a grand pass out of valentines in the early
afternoon. The children have made mailboxes to hold all their cards.
· This week in spelling we are focusing on the spelling sound of “y” as a vowel. If “y”
is the only vowel in the words and it is at the end of the word we hear the
long “i” sound (my, by etc..). If there is another vowel in the word and “y” is
at the end we usually hear the long sound of “e” (penny).
· Our spelling test will be on Thursday this week!
· We will have a math facts test on subtraction from 12 on Tuesday, February 28th.
· Both Friday, February 17th& Monday, February 20thare
school holidays. Enjoy the long weekend.
