These are some of the grading symbols you may run across when looking at your
assignments for English on Powerschool.
( ) = Assignment either hasn't been collected yet or is not graded yet. (Does
not affect grade.)
X or EX = Excused (You are excused from this assignment and it does not affect
your grade.)
S = Submitted (You have submitted the assignment, but it hasn't been graded
yet. This is usually reserved for writing assignments that take longer to
grade.)
NS = Not Submitted (This counts as a zero and negatively affects your grade.)
0 = Zero (This means you did not receive any credit for the assignment, and it
negatively affects your grade.)
