Tall Ship Expedition - Sailing aboard the Tole Mour
VOCS works with Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI) to provide this amazing program for our students. Students study marine biology as they learn to crew and to care for the ship. We offer a choice of two trips – a five-day trip for students in grades 7-12 and a three-day trip for students in grades 5-8. Both trips sail in the fall (September/October) but we need to sign-up students now. To help off-set the cost of the trip, fund-raising ideas will be available. Deposits are now being accepted. High school students can earn credit in Marine Biology with completion of additional assignments.
If you missed the meeting, please email Ms. McKendrick for more information. ammckendrick@kern.org
