Why should we NOT clap during the Remembrance Day Assembly?

As Remembrance Day assemblies are solemn events, and not
'celebrations', we refrain applause and clapping.

What are 'Student-led Conferences, and how will they be different than what we're used to?

Student-led conferences are simply led by the student.
The student is responsible for showcasing his/her work.
Students are encouraged to share their strengths and needs with
their parents/caregivers. They take the lead during the
conference. Students, teachers, and parents all play an
important role in ensuring that the student meets with success.
Student-led conferences are also different in that there are
multiple groups of students and parents/caregivers conducting
conferences in the room at the same time.
Teachers facilitate the process and meet with individual groups
during the conference.
Once again, students take on the leadership responsibility in
student-led conferences.
