FAQ

The following are questions asked by many parents.
  1. When are independent reading logs due?
  2. How can I know what my student is doing in class?
  3. How can I help my student do well in class?

When are independent reading logs due?

Usually the last school day of the month. Becasue so many
students are involved in a multidtude of extra curricular events,
they are asked to read 5 out of 7 nights a week in order to get
full credit. Each reading session must be a minimum of 30
minutes for the full credit and logs MUST be signed by a
parent/guardian who attests that the information on the log is
accurate and true.

How can I know what my student is doing in class?

All assignments are posted on this web site--usually at the
beginning of the week. Or course, ask to see you student's
planner as well! A course syllabus was sent home the first week
of school for parent review and a signature.

How can I help my student do well in class?

Make sure your student has a place and a time to do homework
every night--and ask to see it! Make sure your student is
reading on a routine basis for an extended perio9d of time (thus
the importance of the independent reading log). Check your
student's progress on Snapgrades on a routine basis.
