First, let me thank you for letting me teach your children and encompassing a love for 6th grade for
the 2012-13 school year!
I have had the privilege of being trained in California by some of the most amazing mentors from
USC, CSU Fullerton, and UCLA, yet nothing has given me the most pleasure as working here at Parker
Core Knowledge. The staff and administrators truly bring blessings to my day with their support and
generosity.
I have been teaching for thirteen years and have taught 2nd, 3/4 combination, 4th and 6th grades.
This is my fifth year teaching 6th graders at PCK and am thankful to you, the parents for giving
me the chance to challenge and enlighten your child towards their potential. Teaching is my passion
along with my family. You will learn that I have a vested interest in your child as if they were my own,
so I guess we are family!
My husband and I live in Franktown (along with Yoda, our chocolate lab) and I truly love the small
town feel and gracious surroundings. Being married to my husband for 30 years and raising three
children has been an amazing journey. My husband is the love of my life and has blessed me with
three very faithful children. Our oldest son, Christopher is now carrying on into adulthood and
working full time for a publishing company in Fort Collins. Our second son, Francis, is stationed at
Wright Patterson Air Force base working in intelligence. He tells us he's a plumber because of his job
classification! And our daughter, Grace is in her third year at Vanderbilt studying biosciences and
psychology.
So as you can see, our 'family' will be busy this year, so let's work together towards our goals of
helping 'our children' succeed. Let's hang in there together and do our best for our kids.
To provide for all students, I will create an environment that is responsive to them,
assess each learner’s knowledge, understanding, and interest, and differentiate the
curriculum to meet each student’s needs and state standards.
