I am thrilled to start another year with middle schoolers! August 2012 will be the beginning of my twelfth year of teaching middle school English, and this year will be my seventh year at Core. My three children attend Core as well. Clason will be in 6th grade, CJ will be in 3rd grade, and Ashlyn, my baby, will be in Junior Kindergarten.
In November 2011 I finished my Master's in Secondary Education. In addition to my master's degree, I hold a Bachelor's in English and another in Art History; I also have a minor in Visual Arts, Photography. I love to read and study about English. I'm constantly looking to improve my knowledge and my teaching. I hope, one day when my children are much older, to return to college to expand my English education... possibly a Doctorate?
