This page has some of my favorite science links.  Enjoy!

I have included a reader friendliness scale from 1 to 10.  1 is well below
grade level (7th/8th grade), 5 grade level, 10 is well above grade level
(10th-12th grade).

University of Nottingham's periodic table of videos provides interesting and
entertaining facts about elements.  Click on an element and a short video will
follow.  Videos typically include examples of the element's reactivity and
interesting commentary.

The writers for Smithsonian magazine.com create stimulating articles about
science and other culturally relevant subjects.  Not only are there great
articles, but videos and picture montages as well.  Visit often! The site
changes daily. (Specifically, "Photo of the Day" and "This Day in History".)

Scientific American provides in-depth material from microbiology to
astrophysics.  This site is easy to search.  Given Scientific American's long
history, finding articles on any science subject should be a snap!

Science News for Kids is geared to students ages 9-14.  The articles relate to
issues students may encounter.  The menu on the left creates an easy method
for searching out articles in specific areas of science.

This is the US National Park Service website.  This site offers a wide variety
of information, from activities for youth at individual sites to directions
and logistical information.  Our National Parks are a treasure - if you have
the opportunity to visit one, jump at it!
