11-2-09 Our special for November 2nd through November 6th is Art.
11-2-09 We will be taking our first field trip to the Children's Museum on
Friday, November 6th. We will be leaving P.R.A. at 9:30 and returning about
1:30. PLEASE send your child with a disposable sack lunch we will be eating
at the picnic tables outside of the museum. Mrs. Bond, Mrs. Snow and Mrs.
Betts will our chaperones riding the bus.
11-2-09 Information about "OUR HARVEST FEAST" came home today in your child's
homework folder. Please read and return as soon as possible if you are
willing to help.
11-2-09 A HUGE THANK YOU to all the parents that put time and energy into
planning our fall party that we didn't get to have due to the snow days.
11-2-09 Bake Sale is every Friday's please don't forget to send a quarter
with your child if you would like him/her to participate.
11-2-09 Thursday is LIBRARY please make sure your child returns his/her
library books EVERY Thursday.
11-5-09 Please read the following information about our Veterans Day
Celebration:
Veteran’s Day Celebration
PRA students and families will once again have the opportunity to recognize
and honor veterans during the upcoming Veteran’s Day. This year’s
celebration will take place on Wednesday, November 11. We will have two
assemblies where we will honor veterans. The first assembly begins at 8:30am
for grades 5-8 and the second assembly begins at 10:15am for grades K-4. You
are welcome to attend either or both ceremonies. Each ceremony will include
a posting of the colors, a music performance by the students, a moment of
silence for veterans who have gone before us and a special recognition for
the veterans in attendance.
We will recognize veterans this year on our Veterans Wall of Honor. We keep
all recognition forms from previous years and will display them this year.
If you have another veteran you would like to honor please return the form
that will be in your child’s Thursday folder. Forms will also be available
at the front desk.
The Veteran’s Day celebration at PRA is truly a remarkable event. I highly
encourage you to fill out the paperwork to honor a veteran and to come to one
of the assemblies and see first-hand just how special this event is.
