Homework

1st Grade Homework:

Read your decodable books and "date them." Do a "Give Me Five" retell on one
of the decodables. Practice your flashcards/ sight words. Do one AR book and
test each week. Last, do your fluency 1 minute sheet.

Please recycle your decodables now. Circle the date, if they are fluent. If
this book needs more practice, just write the date.

Flashcards and Word Lists are included in your homework bag. This exercise
will help build fluency in your child's reading. (See attached sheet for
suggestions on how to play games with the flashcards).

Fluency Passages have been added to your homework packet. The goal of these
exercises will be to increase your child's fluency and accuracy. These
xercises have been shown to help students perform better on all kinds
of tests.
