Work-Study Course Description
12 (11 w/ teacher approval) .5-3.0 Elective credit
Prerequisite: Concurrent enrollment or successful
Completion of an approved related Business/ Career/ Tech. Course AND instructor approval.
Do you want to try a career on for size? Do you want to experience a career area first hand?
While enrolled in work-study you have the opportunity to participate in a paid or unpaid work-
study experience in a career of your choice. You will gain employment experience, develop
occupational skills, and explore career interests. To earn work-study credit you will provide
paycheck stubs or timesheets as documentation of hours and make a formal presentation to a panel
of community members and professionals addressing the value of your experience to your future.
