Thursday January 24

Begin movie for Colorado video contest on the dangers of smoking. Handout
contains all rules and the five categories that will be judged. Web site on
the sheet contains finished films already entered and being judged, so try to
watch some of these at home.

Begin writing a script for a film, which you may or may not produce, it is
your choice.

Handout on structure of a script, creating conflict in characters, three acts.
This is due at the end of class on Thursday the 24th.

Final Cut Pro editing exercise - you will use FCP to edit a shorter version of
the movie "Laundry Attacks", which is due Thursday the 24th. You will also
create a new soundtrack for this movie.
Wednesday January 16

Handed out homework assignment due next Thursday the 24th at the beginning of
class. You will analyze 30 minutes of a TV drama, and break each scene down
according to location and characters. You will then schedule the order of
shooting the scenes to be as efficient timewise as possible.
Advanced Technologies Course Description:
10, 11, 12 1 credit
Prerequisite: Video Production or E-Busniess,
Application and Teacher approval
This year long course is for highly motivated students with either an interest
in Advanced Video Production or in Web Desing. Students in this class may
choose to work in one or both areas. This class will be responsible for
prducing the SSHS Video Magazine and the High School Web site. Students may be
creating videos and sites with input from other students, organizations, ect.
Students will also creat videos or web sites for special projects within this
school, other schools, Channel 10, or non-profit areas as deemed appropriate.
For those students in Web Dising some prior knowlege or expierience would be
ideal. This class may lead to a sienor project. Students are required to
complete a movie or web site of choice for a final project. This project must
be of quality to enter and compete in a student film compitition or FBLA web
dising compitition. A course fee of $25 is requiered.
Course will only be offered 4th or 8th hour
Course is contingent upon funding and enrollment.
