Today students may work on all three assignments with the person they sit next to in their assigned seat. First, on page 95, they need to complete the law review questions, 6-14, on one printout per group. Next, on pages 96-97, have a legal basis to back up their answers on cases 21-27. They need to read the details of each law very carefully. Finally, hand out one chapter 4 extra case issue per group and have them complete these, front and back. All three of these team assignments should be turned in to you by the end of the period.
Thursday January 24: All book today will be done in groups of two. Anything not finished becomes homework due at the beginning of the class on Monday. Test on chapter 1 will be next Wednesday the 29th.

Business/ Personal Law Course Description: 10, 11, 12 .5 credit Prerequisite: Computer Applications Business and Personal Law deals with issues that are essential in the lives of most adults and minors. Knowing more about the law can help you avoid legal conflicts in your professional and personal life. Students will explore the applications of law both in business situations and in more familiar personal transactions. The legal consequences of decision-making and the social impact of legislation and legal decisions will be analyzed. The rights and duties of customers, employees, and business owners will be examined from each perspective. Students will also learn how thier responsibilities change as both consumers and employees. Other specific areas of study are contracts, computer crime, copyrights, product liability and technology. |
