There are many web sites that you can access to support your child's learning
at home. I have listed just a few....but enjoy searching for new sites
together that offer words and phrases in Spanish.

Enchanted Learning

LITERACY CENTER

Audio links and bold graphics provide children with practice to learn colors, numbers, the alphabet, and shapes in Spanish, German, or French. Note that the colors purple and orange will be different than what your child learned in class because of regional variations of use.

SPANISH FLASHCARDS

I am delighted to present this site. It is in the midst of being entirely reworked and contains excellent photographs along with the voice of a native speaker. I recommend the categories of "Basic Vocabulary" in red letters --animals, weather, colors, and body parts -- as well as the numbers from 1-30 on the left. These sections complement any basic FLES curriculum. Don't miss practicing your numbers with the number-eating monster!

COUNTING IN SPANISH ?

http://www.une.edu.ve/kids/aprendo_numeros.htm

Hear the numbers recited individually by a native speaker, along with hearing the name of the object, too.  First, say the number (and object) after the speaker. Then, try to beat the speaker before she says the number that you point your mouse to. Finally, point your mouse and learn the numbers out of order.

TRANSLATOR ALLIGATOR

Learn and practice Spanish words and spelling. Scores are kept with four levels of skill and seven categories of vocabulary. There are minor errors in spelling that don't really interfere with the overall

intent of the site. After you have mastered the words here, see "Language to Language" listed

below for more quizzes.

JOSÉ-LUIS OROZCO

http://www.joseluisorozco.com

This musician is an outstanding source of traditional Mexican songs. Children of all ages react positively to his songs, chants, and rhymes. His clear singing voice makes them easy to learn. Songbooks with lyrics (found below each title) and music are available to accompany each CD. I highly recommend Señor Orozco's music as an excellent first step in learning Spanish.
