| Each student in Room 27 now has their own assignement pad. I explained to the
students these assignment pads are their responsibility. Students are expected
to make entries each day. Although the assignments vary from day to day, the
following can be used as a guideline.
Each night the students are assigned 20 minutes of silent reading time.
Mondays the spelling words for the week are assigned. They are given a
pre-test, any words that are incorrect are to be written 3 times each. The
students are given a home study master they can use to study the words for the
week. Each Friday a test is given on the assigned words. They are also given
2 dictation sentences with words from the week before.
Most nights math homework is assigned. This is reflective of the lesson
that was given that day. This will depend on your child's math teacher. For my
math class the same rules will apply.
Other subjects will have homework depending on the material being covered at
the time.
Students are graded on homework. For each completed homework assignment the
student will get a check. If the homework is not handed in they will not get a
check.
