www.quizlet.com/msfoster304. Once at the website, click on Where the Red Fern grows Ch 1-3. Learn words, try a practice test and play games to help you study.
5/16/12 - Read chapter 2. Complete the vocabulary sheets. Do not look the words up in the dictionary. Determine the meaning based on the context of the reading.
5/15/12 - Finish the sheets given in class today - writing about the pet and the item you want. Many of you from B and C period already handed this in.
5/14/12 - Bring in a picture of a pet you have now or a pet you had in the past. If you don't have a picture of a pet you have lost, find one on the Internet that is a close look alike. For example, if you lost a German Shepherd, find a German Shepherd picture that looks a lot like your dog. If you have never had a pet, find a picture of a pet you would like to have. In addition, bring in a picture of an item you would like to have, but have been unable to get - parents won't buy it, it costs too much, you aren't old enough for it yet, etc. Pictures may be in color, black and white, on photo paper, on regular paper, or from a magazine.
5/9/12 - Final copy of Haiku poems due on Friday, May 11. If you plan to do the extra credit, you must type all poems and draw a small picture to go with each poem. Pictures must be original artwork - no clip art.
5/4/12 - Finish the letter we started in class.
5/3/12 - Finish outline if not done in class.
4/30/12 - Finish the remaining chapters of Snow Bound (21 pages). Be prepared for cookie trivia questions.
4/27/12 - No homework.
4/25/12 - Read chapters 15, 16 and 17. Be ready for cookie trivia.
4/9/12 - Finish reading and answer questions for 5, 6 and 7.
4/4/12 - Finish survival skills sheet. On the back of the sheet answer the questions, Which skill would be the most helpful to know? Why?
