Picturing America is presented by the National Endowment for the Humanities 
(NEH), and is distributed in collaboration with the American Library 
Association.Picturing America, an exciting new initiative from the National

classrooms and libraries nationwide. Through this innovative program, 
students and citizens will gain a deeper appreciation of our country’s 
history and character through the study and understanding of its art.

American History to the Mid-Point

#0152 - Career                                      Grade 11

Beginning with the administration of George Washington, students will study 
the social, economic, and political development of the United States 
including the War of 1812, the Civil War, the growth of industry, business 
and labor, and the Spanish American War.  A thesus development,research of 
documents to prove the thesus and the use of Chicago citation in a term peper 
is a requirement for successful completion of the course.
